A Day in the Life of a Reading Specialist

I've been working as a Reading Specialist since August and I LOVE it! I love my job and I love working with different ages. Don't get me wrong, I loved teaching 3rd grade, did it for 7 years, but there is fun in teaching different age groups. Each age is special.

This is my typical schedule each day:

8:15 - 9:00 4th Grade Enrichment M-Th
9:05 - 9:55 3rd Grade Literacy M-F
10:10 - 11:00 2nd Grade Literacy M-F
11:00 - 12:00 4th Grade Literacy M-F
12:05 - 12:35 LUNCH  
12:35 - 1:20 3rd Grade Enrichment M-Th
1:25 - 1:55 1st Grade Enrichment M-Th
2:00 - 2:30 5th Grade Enrichment M-Th
2:30 - 3:30 PREP  




2 Hour Delay (Rotation A):

Occasionally we'll have a delay, which changes things a bit. I stay busy all day. I work with some great kiddos so it makes it easy!
